Yes. Every software structures services/packages differently—especially when switching from flat-rate to time-based billing—so future appointments can’t be imported. We know it’s a hassle, but we’d rather be upfront than let it blindside you.
Betty’s Tip: I learned this the hard way without warning when switching software before using PGA. That’s why we’re hardcore about transparency, even with the tough-to-swallow pills.
The good news? We’ve made it as painless as possible. You only need to create one appointment from scratch per client. Then, just use the copy or rebook buttons to speed through the rest. Even if your whole year is booked out, you’ll be done in a few hours—tops! -
Nope. Past appointments can’t be imported either for the same reasons. If you have a full calendar and feel exhausted in general, we recommend running both systems side by side for a month to ensure everything transfers smoothly. (Many groomers summon the energy or adequate coffee shots and speed through the setup over a weekend.) Want it done fast? Give us a heads-up, and we can help you knock it out over the weekend.

Basic tier: Yes, it’s a DIY job. Not a fan? Add a small supply fee per appointment—let your clients sponsor the upgrade to get the white-glove setup. Betty’s note: We wouldn’t expect a mechanic to cover the costs of parts out of labor prices/profit, right? The same goes for grooming—water, electricity, software, phone, and internet shouldn’t be eating into your profits or labor compensations. In PGA, you get to provide beautiful and clear estimates and invoices so your clients will understand. No add-on fees for either. The basic tier offers email only, the higher tiers offer both email and text. If you want text confirmations, you need to subscribe to Tier 2 or above. In those packages, text notifications are included and unlimited.

No. As a home-based groomer, we keep direct contact with the client on our cell, and most of us have unlimited texting phone plans, so two-way texting happens on our phones. In-house, two-way texting is generally more important for big corporations to make sure all employees have access to all communications. If two-way texting is non-negotiable to you, please reach out to us and vote for it to be nominated in future software updates.

Yes, Stripe is integrated with PGA. We are a 'pass-through' entity, meaning that your money is deposited directly into YOUR bank account (not ours), and we don’t take a cut for any transactions.

No. To manage your profit and loss, we strongly suggest hiring an accountant and granting them access (read-only, with custom logging) to your business bank account so they can run your P&L for you.
